Apple Crumble 5 Recipe
Ingredients 1 c. brown sugar 5 oz. all purpose flour 4 to 6 c. cooking apples (1 1/2 to 2 lbs.) peeled, cored and thinly sliced 3 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 c. butter 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 tsp. lemon rind, grated Method Combine 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 oz. of flour in mixing bowl. Squeeze lemon juice over apple slices. Toss apples with sugar mixture. Put in oven proof baking dish. Thoroughly mix butter, remaining flour and cinnamon. Add lemon rind and remaining 1/2 cup of sugar. Sprinkle mixture over apples and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until top is golden. Serve warm solo or with ice cream.
