Apple Crumble 30 Recipe
Ingredients 2 lbs. cooking apples, peeled, cored & sliced 2 tsp. lemon juice 1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 c. sugar 3/4 c. all purpose flour 1/4 c. margarine 1/4 c. chopped nutmeats (optional) Method Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the apples, lemon juice, spices and 1/2 the sugar. Toss together and put into a greased baking dish. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water. Sift the flour with a good pinch of salt into a bowl, cut in the margarine and add remaining sugar and the nutmeats and sprinkle over the apples. Bake for about 45 minutes. Serves 5 to 6, Hot.
