Crumble Recipe
Rhubarb and Apple Crumble

Ingredients:
450g Bramley apples, peeled, cored and sliced
200g Rhubarb
75g light soft brown sugar
Cinnamon to taste
Ginger, grated to taste
100g butter
200g plain flour
ground ginger to taste
50g Demerara sugar
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas
4.
Peel, chop and mix the
apples and rhubarb into an ovenproof dish.
Mix the sugar and cinnamon
together and sprinkle over the fruit and grate
over the ginger.
For the topping put the
butter, flour, ground ginger and half the sugar
into a bowl.
Rub the butter into the
flour until you have a coarse breadcrumb like
mixture.
Spread the crumble over the
top of the apple and rhubarb and press down
lightly using your fingers.
Sprinkle over remaining
sugar.
Bake for 45 minutes until
the top is golden and crisp.
