Blueberry Crumble

Blueberry Crumble

2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon plain flour

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1 1/2 cups rolled oats

3/4 cup chopped pecans or almonds

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup plain flour

3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

5 tablespoons butter

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Mix the blueberries with sugar, flour and juice and divide 4 or 6 oven proof small ramekins .

  3. Combine oats, nuts, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon well and mix the butter in making a breadcrumb-like mixture.

  4. Add to crumble mix to the ramekins with the blueberries.

  5. Bake the blueberry crumbles  on a baking sheet until the tops are golden brown, approx. 20 to 25 minutes

Warning, these blueberry crumbles are VERY hot when they come out of the oven.
