Apple and Blackberry Crumble

Apple and Blackberry Crumble Recipe

1 kg Cooking apples

500g Blackberries

200g Sugar

250g Plain Flour

175g Butter

  1. Prepare and pre-cook the blackberries and apple to your taste with 50g of sugar in a pan on top of the stove.

  2. Rub the butter into the flour with your finger.

  3. When the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs fold in the remaining the sugar.

  4. Place the cooled blackberry and apples in an oven proof dish and cover with the crumble mixture.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes then reduce heat to 180°C , Gas 5 350 F and bake for 30 minutes longer until the crumble is golden brown.
